London, Brighton & South Coast Railway No 78 ‘Knowle”
Visiting Locomotive – June 2021
Built in 1880 at Brighton as No 78 “Knowle”, this locomotive has sported no fewer than seven different identities, including IoW W14 ‘Bembridge’ and SR 2678. The locomotive is being shipped from the Isle of Wight direct to Yorkshire. Known as a “Terrier” we’re sure the locomotive will feel at home in Yorkshire and will compliment our vintage trains superbly! The engine joins us for just a short stay, so it’s well worth visiting to see in its stunning Southern black livery.
