Skipton Extension: We are all excited by the possibilities of running from Skipton through Embsay to Bolton Abbey!  The track is already in situ (it’s used by the quarry trains which serve Swinden Quarry) and the platforms still exist at Skipton station.  Embsay junction would need to be re-connected, re-development work at Skipton station undertaken, we’d need to acquire suitable rolling stock and meet some legislative requirements before this can happen.  Help us by making a donation to the railway today!
