No. 70, an ex-Manchester Ship Canal loco, visited
the railway and for the Wartime Weekend was
pictured coming out of Hambleton Cutting with a Mk. 1 and the
vintage train.

Another very popular visitor was the Lambton tank,
No. 29, from the NYMR. Seen here descending towards Bolton Abbey with a train
comprising 4 Mk. 1's and the Gresley
Restaurant Car.

The Class 107 DMU seen from the footpath near Draughton as it prepares to enter

The steam crane was employed at Prior's Lane to move sleepers onto wagons for use in the Holywell Bridge relaying that took
place in January 2003. Seen here, the crane moves a stack ready for loading before the weather closed in.

The work at Holywell required the use of a mini-digger, and to this end a ramp was built for unloading, as some of the P-Way
team look on. Meanwhile, under the bridge, the Robel removes the lengths of rail that are to be replaced.
