It was built by Greenwood & Batley in West Yorkshire and purchased by the Yorkshire Patented Steam Wagon Company. The design was to carry three-quarters of a ton, and it will continue to do such work! It has been restored by Chris Hubbs but it is owned by Tony Wright. Work undertaken on the vehicle at Embsay has included two new back springs - all other trucks that have been seen have also got two broken springs! Some replacements were made by a local company in Leeds, with the back axle now totally re-built with its new leaf springs. Other components have been shot-blasted and repainted. A new 24 volt battery pack has been fitted, replacing the original 28 volt unit. Once charged (which takes 24 hours), it can be used for a considerable time. The truck is nearing the completion of its overhaul. The horn and light have been fitted and the switch is operated by the drivers knee on a bracket which comes out from the main body. Despite not quite being finished, it has been helping with the work on the 04, D.2203, the building of the signal on platform two, the bottom end overhaul of 68005 and also tidying the carpark at Embsay.
