Rylstone station was the only intermediate station on the Yorkshire Dales Railway, serving several villages in the area.

This photo was taken when Rylstone station was still partly intact (visible to the far left of the picture), and also when
it retained a goods yard of sorts, seen in the foreground. A BR Standard 4 heads for Grassington with a rake of empty
hoppers.
