HIRE YOUR OWN TRAIN / PRIVATE CHARTER
It is possible to hire your own passenger train on non-operational days(see the timetable for details)
at an econonmical cost. For further details, please contact the Business Manager (01756) 710614 or via charters AT embsayboltonabbeyrailway DOT org DOT uk, replacing the 'AT' and 'DOT'
with '@' and '.' as an attempt to avoid spam e-mails to the Railway.
Charter services can be either Steam or Diesel hauled. Steam is more expensive. However, for a more affordable rate, one of our collection of historic diesel
locomotives can be chartered for a group visit to the Railway. Prices compare favourably with the normal passenger fares for a group. If you are chartering
a train, times can be arranged to suit your needs. Please get in touch with the Business Manager as soon as possible to discuss your requirements. Catering
can also be arranged in conjunction with your visit, from tea and a scone to a full meal.
You may also wish to charter a steam-hauled train, or arrange a photo charter using items from our collection. Pictures from some
photocharters that have taken place on the line can be found by following the links below.
Filming has also been carried out on the Railway for various TV programmes and some films as well. Recently an episode of
Emmerdale featured a send-off at 'Hotten' station - Embsay in disguise!
Several galleries are in the process of being added to the website covering the photocharters run on our line, or photocharters
run using our locos on other railways.
