It’s possible to hire your own passenger train on some days – even ‘non-operational’ days.

Charter services can be hauled by either Steam or one of our historic diesel locomotives.  Diesel-hauled services are more economical, but most people find the romance of a steam train hard to beat – especially for a wedding train!

If you are chartering a train, times can be arranged to suit your needs.  Catering can also be arranged in conjunction with your visit, from tea and a scone to a full meal.

You may also wish to charter a steam-hauled passenger train, or arrange a photo charter using items from our extensive collection of historic goods wagons.

For large weddings and parties we would recommend using our historic Mark 1 carriage fleet.  For smaller parties, then perhaps our Stately Trains fleet of Victorian carriages, whose beautiful, luxurious Edwardian and Victorian interiors have been lovingly restored for your use! Perfectly suited for smaller wedding parties and celebrations.
