and are refundable against tickets for travel or purchases of over £5 in either the shop or cafe on the day of issue. |

The Day Rover and standard Returns have been combined, so that a return ticket will now allow unlimited travel on the
date of issue, except on special event days, or where there are overcrowding problems.
Thinking of visiting as a large group? See our Group Booking page for details of discounts. |
In addition to the cafés on both stations, on most weekend running days the Buffet Car on the train will be open; on days
when two trains are running, there will usually be a Buffet Car open on one of them. The Car will also open on occasional
days in the school holidays, subject to availability of volunteer staff.
In addition to tea, coffee (four types currently on offer) canned soft drinks, fruit juices, crisps, biscuits and a limited range of sandwiches, the Buffet Car is licensed for the sale of alcoholic drinks (for consumption on the train only – sorry, no off-sales!)
Unfortunately, we can’t offer draught beer as we haven’t got the facilities to serve it. What we can offer is what we believe is the BIGGEST AND WIDEST SELECTION OF BOTTLED BEERS ON ANY HERITAGE RAILWAY.
The aim is that the Buffet Car will at all times carry NOT LESS THAN 30 DIFFERENT LOCALLY-BREWED BEERS.
Most of the beers will be sourced from small breweries within a 30-mile radius of the railway. We intend to keep trying different breweries – so every time you travel you should be able to try something different.
For those who prefer them, we also stock a smaller range of other drinks:-

Car park spaces are reserved close to the station buildings for ease of access and there is a disabled toilet at Bolton Abbey Station. On the normal service trains there is a specially converted Disabled Saloon, which can be easily accessed via a ramp - the Station Staff or the guard will be willing to assist. The DMU service can accommodate wheelchairs, but the Vintage Trains do not have specific accommodation for wheelchairs. Please phone (01423) 561965 for further information about disabled access to the Vintage Trains. |
