These photos are all from F.W.Smith who worked on the line before its closure and has lent the railway photographs and artefacts from
his collection. At the moment the photos are in no particular order but eventually I hope to be able to arrange them in some
sort of logical sequence. Captions are provided with all the pictures by F.W.Smith. The first page can be found
here. Enjoy!

Milnerwood Junction signalbox on 9th March 1965. The left hand tracks climbed straight then sharply left towards Menston
Junction. The right tracks were to Burley Junction. The Up line towards Menston was disused at this time, and only one pick
up goods used the Down line. This ran from Guiseley to Otley and on its return, propelled its train back to Burley Junction,
reversing there back to Guiseley. This is a Period 1 Midland box, note the unusual small enamel name plate, and also the metal
steps to the box. I had just closed the box and then walked back on the line to Burley-in-Wharfedale station to catch a train
home having started my shift at Burley Junction box at 5:55am. The box was closed on 5th July 1965 with the lines, but was
retained to work the points for the demolition trains which commenced in April 1966.

Embsay Station box Down fixed distant signal 5th June 1958. This distant was also the outer distant for Embsay Junction box.
Originally it was an operating distant, but when the LMS carried out some modifications to the signalling at Embsay
