(c) Matthew Bell Members' Day 2003

For the past few years, the club has had a Members' Day, which was reported in the Y.D.R. News magazine. A picture of the Member's Train is shown to the right. They have been very popular, and it will probably be repeated in September 2003. Keep watching this space!

Shed

The new shed has had the cladding completed details can be found (with lots of pictures!). This new building will help to speed up work on all the engines, carriages and wagons.
Along the Line
The P-Way team are working at Holywell relaying the track underneath the bridge.
News about the Engines
Thomas is now running after a lot of hard work from the engine doctors.

Monckton has had some more work carried out to make sure there will be no problems pulling bigger trains over the Summer.

68005 is running well and is good for pulling longer trains with 5 or 6 coaches.

Cranford is being used to pull the Stately Trains during Summer as she will soon need some more work doing.

Annie is waiting for an overhaul and some attention from the engine doctors as she has now been running for 10 years.

Ann the Sentinel is just about to have her boiler inspected.

Work has started on Primrose - her boiler is to be taken away for a new firebox to be fitted shortly.

No. 22 has been shunted to the end of platform 2 at Embsay because her boiler certificate has expired (this means she can't run any more until she is checked over).

140 (the side tank) has been roaming around the country a lot on her everlasting holidays. All the other engines are really jealous because 140 gets lots of holidays and they don't!

Finally, the DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) enjoyed seeing all the young children on their half term holidays in October and hopes that they will return for a ride on her in February.
